Apparently Mittens for Akol is trying to meet a goal of a lot of socks for Christmas. They want to collect them by mid-September. And they want them warm and large - i.e. approx woman's small and in as close to 100% wool as possible. The site is at www.knit-on.com if anyone wants to check it out and knit a pair!
